THE SINGLE BEST STRATEGY TO USE FOR BAREFOOT SHOES KIDS

New to barefoot shoes. We live in Montana exactly where it will get to -20 or decreased. Any recommendations on boots? Am I right in thinking you'd need the thick boot to protect from the intense cold? Try to look for boots with a large toe box maybe?
